Harmonious Classrooms for Joyful Learning

Experience SEL-centered, trauma-informed strategies for joyful classroom management with Orff process lessons, visuals, folk dances, pop songs, folk music, and pieces from the Volumes. Our time together will be focused on practical use-it-tomorrow activities and a time of reflection for our teacher spirits. Don’t forget your recorders!
Crystal Pridmore has spent the last nine years teaching elemental music and movement, choir, and strings to PreK-6th grade students at Chula Vista Elementary School District’s Finney Elementary School in San Diego, CA. She holds three levels of certification in Orff-Schulwerk. Crystal is the creator and co-host of the Chaotic Harmony Podcast. She also serves as both a past president of the San Diego American Orff-Schulwerk Association and a board member/ past vice-president of the American Center for Elemental Music and Movement. Crystal currently contributes frequently to the Teaching With Orff blog and is a proud Studio 49 Germany ambassador.

Jamie Jun is an elementary music specialist who has been teaching general music and band for the past ten years. She is currently working at Sierra Oaks K-8 School for San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento, CA. Jamie strives to create a safe and playful environment to facilitate musical excellence in her students through the frameworks of culturally responsive teaching and social justice pedagogy. As a life-long learner, she continues to study teaching approaches such as Education Through Music with the Richard’s Institute of Education and Research and has earned Level III Certification in Orff-Schulwerk. She is also pursuing her Master’s in Music Education at San Jose State University while serving as Past President of the American River Orff-Schulwerk Association.
